I purchased this after using a brush with stick and old vacuum which came with the pool. The original vacuum which comes with the pool is complete garbage. It pretty much just moves the dirt around and doesn't really clean the pool. We needed to do something since the pool water was getting very green and murky.
After switching to a new chlorine tablet from Leslie's pools, we also starting using this kit. As others have mentioned, this kit should come with the pool since it is necessary. It works beautifully in my 18' pool and actually cleans (you can see how much dirt, etc. is collected in the net after). The pole is very sturdy and it worked well with the pump that came with my 18' Intex pool.
A great product at a good price.

A bit pricey, but overall good. The long handle was great, the skimmer was super great, the vacuum worked well (although getting the hose into the water was not easy as it floats), used the brush to clean sides and bottom and the net made me feel like a 'pool-man'. could not have maintained the pool without these.
