One of the preview pictures showed a PB4-60Q, but the product is actually the PB4-60 unit. This was purchased to replace our same unit that died recently. The booster pump arrived as expected with the proper hose connections and a reinforced hose. Box was in excellent condition and the unit was new as promised. The seller, In The Swim Pool Supplies, was incredible!! I've had this unit for about a year in my diving pool. It works very well, cleans the whole pool rarely missing a spot except in some tight corners, and I like the 3-hour runtime after which it shuts off automatically. It gets the bottom 2 steps in my pool (more or less) but can't quite climb up to the top step because it's partly of the water by then. I use it about 2-3 times a week generally. Hopefully I won't have the reliability issues others have experienced.

Especially impressed with its wall climbing capability. Only negative is it can get hung up on the 4 entry steps. I simply sweep the steps first and then lay the pool broom across them to prevent this problem.

I am not one to write reviews but I am in love with my Polaris F7. My kids have named him Oscar. He cleans everything. I was disappointed in my pool for a while for not having the brilliant sparkle of some other pools I would see. But now that Oscar is on patrol, the bool is brilliant. He cleans steps, walls, the floor and everything. In about an hour he can make a pass on my whole pool. Not a spec of dirt left. I am blown away. If you are on the edge about this, take my word for it, its perfect.

Just bought this great little vacuum and love it. My pool has never been cleaner! Easy to use, no hoses or backwashing. I was a little worried by some of the reviews that said they don't last long, but I'm going to take care of it and store it out of the sun and hope that it lasts because it's so portable and easy to use. If I have friends coming over and want to do a quick leaf clean-up, my pool is clean in 10 minutes. My kids are lining up now to clean the pool because it's so much fun. For big clean-ups (start of the season), I'll probably still have to haul out the hoses, but for upkeep during the swim season this vac is a winner.

I needed something to get up the small vegetation and bugs which seem to somehow collect in a hot tub so I figured I would give this a shot. I have only used it 3 times so far but I was not disappointed. It does a wonderful job. I use it by getting into the hot tub. The filtering piece for small particles is nothing more than a white, nylon piece (much like a nylon sock) so I am sure that I can use this as a replacement. It is a little heavy once you insert the batteries but nothing to unbearable.
The only complaint that I would have is that I wish the handle was a bit longer. Yes, you can connect it to a pole but I do not need anything that long, maybe only another 2 feet. They should also include some type of handle cap if you are not going to connect it to a pole, more for appearance.

Barracuda makes several of these cleaners, Wahoo, G2, G3, G4. The G2 is there middle of the road cleaner and the best of the bunch. The G3 is a bit heavy and moves slow requiring more suction. The G4 is also bulky and has some expensive parts. Plus the G4 lacks a bumper, so it gets hung up in corners and by the steps much more than this cleaner
The G2 is light and requires very little suction. It is very durable, and the parts are not too expensive. The bumper works great getting out of the step area. There is also a great after market part called the Twister (made by Solar Sun Rings). It attaches to the hose and turns them completely 3 times every hour, so the cleaner never gets stuck in a corner or by the steps.
Depending on the pool suction will determine what size debris this thing will pick up. It has no problem with Avocado tree debris, but struggles a bit with oak tree nuts. There are few cleaners that can handle oak trees but they do make them.
The only part that you need to replace annually is the diaphragm. It is the only moving part, and it will wear out, and form a tear. If the cleaner stops moving and there is no debris obstructing it, chances are the diaphragm has a slight tear. The smallest tear will stop it dead. They run about $20.00. The other parts should last 3 years before you start to see wear (Footpad & fin disk - big round bottom part).
This cleaner is light so it tends to come out of the pool as it climbs the wall. Simply lower the suction if you have a side port or add a weight to the top. It still may pop out and suck some air so play with the suction power until this happens on rare occasions.
If you are looking for an affordable and durable cleaner this is the one for you. Don't bother with the more expensive Barracuda cleaners, They all work off the same design, but the replacement parts cost more.

By radical : Looks Quirky But Works Like a Charm!

I recently purchased this product after my Hayward Navigator started malfunctioning. I replaced almost everything on that unit at no small expense but it would repeatedly get stuck.
In any case, I purchased the Baracuda based on the recommendations of the "pool guy". I'll admit that it looks odd but the beauty is in it's simplicity. It basically has only one moving part that is inexpensive and easily replaceable. The added benefit is that the suction hose shakes as the cleaner moves which keeps the hose clean. The Hayward would allow "stuff" to accumulate on the hose that would leave a nasty skim when I'd remove it from the pool.
Not only that, but this thing cleans walls, stairs...you name it!
The price of this product is also fantastic. It includes the vaccuum hose lengths and virtually everything else you need right out of the box. My Hayward hose is still good and works fine with this unit but now I have a free backup.
Bottom line...this is some of the best money I've ever spent!

Bought house in October, fired up pool in early May to ensure all components were in working order. Everything working, except the RayVac cleaner which was just spinning in circles for hours in the same area. My pool guy mentioned the 360 was a direct replacement. He didn't seem like he was 100% on the 360 but said it was worth a try for ease of replacement.
The 360 was just short of a breeze to install. After verifying pressure, removing the pressure tester from the hose was the hardest part. My wheel RPM's were just a bit too high so I lowered the pressure from the valve attached to pool pump to achieve about 30-32 RPM. It seems to be operating a bit quickly, but its still cleaning the pool bottom so I'm ignoring for now. It's only day 1, but I already see the 360 saving me lots of time so I'm giving 5 stars... my time is valuable!

We haven't had a pool cleaner in several years. I was tired of having to drag out the vacumn and all the hoses on a regular basis. I started to research above ground pool cleaners.. and with tossing around a couple, I decided on this one. This cleaner has made my life so much easier. I give it thumbs up.

Ordered product on Friday and received on Wednesday, very easy to assemble and set up on the pool, well made and works great. One word of advice, make sure you get enough hose links. I have a round 32' pool and need to get at least two more links then what comes with it because it goes around in a circle in the inner part of pool because it does not have enough links to stretch out to the outer part of pool.
